Bluebell

A semi-soft blue cheese made from pasteurised milk
Description

A semi-soft, creamy blue cheese with sweet, savoury and steely blue characteristics. The flavour of Bluebell is rich and creamy, with deep, pungent blue notes and mild sweetness. The aroma is fresh and grassy with pungent notes from the rind, and the texture soft and yielding with a creamy finish.

Bluebell is made in small truckles and is dark cream or light beige in colour with light blue or grey veins and a natural rind that is grey in colour. Bluebell is a well balanced and moreish cheese; it's a gentle blue that will suit a wide range of palates.

Winner of the 'Best Product Award' at Scotland's Speciality Food Show 2019.

This current batch of Bluebell will be available from late March and at its best during April. This cheese will continue to mature at home, once cut the cheese should be consumed within 2 weeks.

Bluebell is made with gently pasteurised organic cow’s milk from our cow with calf dairy.

One standard pack of Bluebell. Minimum 250g. Some variation in weight is likely due to variable moisture content.

Your cheese order will be delivered in Woolcool packaging, a system of eco-friendly insulated packaging made from sheep’s wool. This packaging keeps our cheeses below  5oC  for 48 hours so that they reach you perfectly chilled and ready to enjoy. Cheeses are sent using a next day delivery courier service, however occasionally delivery can be delayed. If you receive your cheese a day later than expected, the cheese will be absolutely fine. The Sorba-freeze ice packs we use are reusable, they can be dehydrated (on a radiator) and rehydrated with water and refrozen.

We dispatch orders twice a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For same week delivery, please place your order by 1pm on Tuesday.

You can schedule your delivery in advance, although some products, such as Garnie, have restricted dispatch windows.
