Description

A Half Rainton Tomme is a high impact choice of cheese for a cheeseboard at a party, event or special occasion.  This is our largest cheese with a half round weighing in at around 2.1kg. This cut of cheese showcases the beautiful golden interior of our Alpine style cheese, while maintaining the sweeping curve of the traditional, delicately hued rind.

Pair it with a Half Fleet Valley Blue for complimentary flavours that will appeal to a broad range of cheese tastes.  Rainton Tomme is one of our most popular cheeses.  It’s made from raw milk, with the curds drained and then gently turned by hand to produce a creamy, mild semi-hard cheese with a nutty finish.

Your cheese order will be delivered in Woolcool packaging, a system of eco-friendly insulated packaging made from sheep’s wool. This packaging keeps our cheeses below  5oC  for 48 hours so that they reach you perfectly chilled and ready to enjoy. Cheeses are sent using a next day delivery courier service, however occasionally delivery can be delayed. If you receive your cheese a day later than expected, the cheese will be absolutely fine. The Sorba-freeze ice packs we use are reusable, they can be dehydrated (on a radiator) and rehydrated with water and refrozen.

We dispatch orders twice a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For same week delivery, please place your order by 1pm on Tuesday.

You can schedule your delivery in advance, although some products, such as Garnie, have restricted dispatch windows.
