Fresh Milk Survey

Please Note: This survey is now closed.

One of the questions we are asked most often is 'where can we buy your milk?' - so, we are exploring whether making fresh milk available to buy is possible and practical.

There are all sorts of reasons why we haven't done this before - and most of these reasons are logistical - but we would love to find a way to make it work.

Selling fresh milk in Scotland is more complicated than elsewhere in the UK because of the legal requirement for pasteurisation, and with pasteurisation comes a need to process milk in predictable volumes.

Just a stone's throw from the dairy is our sister company, Cream o' Galloway, where we also host events like our farm tours and cheese making courses. So, we are thinking about introducing fresh milk sales at Cream o' Galloway visitor centre. It would mean you would need to visit us in person because couriering fresh milk - for now - isn't something we could do.

We have put together a short survey to get a feel for whether selling fresh milk direct from our farm is do-able, and we would love your feedback. Thank you.
