Regenerative Farming & Sustainable Diets is a new book, published a few days ago, that includes a chapter David has authored.
This book brings together the world’s leading experts to challenge the status quo and to highlight pathways to a global food system that works for people, planet and animals.
The contributor list reads like a who’s who of the world’s food system and farming experts: global soil supremo Rattan Lal, Chatham House expert Tim Benton, oceans and biodiversity leader Katherine Richardson, UN Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights Olivier De Schutter, ground-breaking agro-ecologist from Tanzania, Janet Maro, Government adviser Henry Dimbleby, dietary challenger Shireen Kassam, China’s sustainable food lead, Shenggen Fan, plus several practising regenerative farmers and leaders from the FAO and UNDP.
Regenerative farming offers practical ways to farm the land, while rebuilding soil health, encouraging biodiversity and rearing animals in ways which respect their sentience and needs, and David is honoured to be a contributor.
The book is available to buy but given the importance of the knowledge and experience contained within it, the publishers have also decided to make it available as an Open Access publication, so that its insights and inspiration are available to all.
