Limited Edition Smoked Cheese
Description

We have been experimenting with sending different cheeses to our wonderful local smokehouse, and it’s now the turn of Skinny Gold!

This is a creamy, firm cheese that’s made with the lower fat milk produced by our herd in January and February. We thought combining a smokiness to that mature flavour profile would dial up the deliciousness – and it has!

The lower fat milk used to make this cheese is due to the way we manage calving on the farm. This means there’s a seasonal cycle, and what fluctuates most is the butterfat content.  During January and February the butterfat content of our milk is too low to make our usual cheeses so we created our ‘skinny’ cheeses. We are delighted to add a smoked version to this line up.

Your cheese order will be delivered in Woolcool packaging, a system of eco-friendly insulated packaging made from sheep’s wool. This packaging keeps our cheeses below  5oC  for 48 hours so that they reach you perfectly chilled and ready to enjoy. Cheeses are sent using a next day delivery courier service, however occasionally delivery can be delayed. If you receive your cheese a day later than expected, the cheese will be absolutely fine. The Sorba-freeze ice packs we use are reusable, they can be dehydrated (on a radiator) and rehydrated with water and refrozen.

We dispatch orders twice a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For same week delivery, please place your order by 1pm on Tuesday.

You can schedule your delivery in advance, although some products, such as Garnie, have restricted dispatch windows.
