This batch of Bluebell is best enjoyed in the weeks leading up to Christmas, rather than during the festive season.

A semi-soft, creamy blue cheese with sweet, savoury and steely blue characteristics. The flavour of Bluebell is rich and creamy, with deep, pungent blue notes and mild sweetness. The aroma is fresh and grassy with pungent notes from the rind, and the texture soft and yielding with a creamy finish.

Bluebell is made in small truckles and is dark cream or light beige in colour with light blue or grey veins and a natural rind that is grey in colour. Bluebell is a well balanced and moreish cheese; it's a gentle blue that will suit a wide range of palates.

Christmas 2020 Note: every batch of Bluebell is slightly different in terms of that perfect window of ripeness, and we monitor each batch carefully as it matures. At the moment we expect our Bluebells to be at their very best in the weeks leading up to Christmas, rather than over Christmas and New Year. Therefore, we recommend scheduling delivery of this product in early-mid December, and we may remove Bluebell from sale BEFORE our Christmas order deadline. Please bear in mind the slightly unpredictable nature of our Bluebell cheese when placing your order - its deliciousness just about makes up for the headaches it gives us!

This listing is for our standard retail pack of Bluebell, which weighs a minimum of 250g.

Your cheese order will be delivered in Woolcool bags, a system of eco-friendly insulated packaging made from sheep’s wool. These special cool bags keep our cheeses below  5oC  for 48 hours so that they reach you perfectly chilled and ready to enjoy. Cheeses are sent using a next day delivery courier service, however occasionally delivery can be delayed. This is happening more frequently during the coronavirus crisis and so we cannot guarantee delivery on your requested date. Please be reassured that our insulated packaging and chill packs have been designed to accommodate a 48 hour delivery window. Therefore, if you receive your cheese a day later than expected, the cheese will be absolutely fine. The Sorba-freeze ice packs we use are reusable, they can be dehydrated (on a radiator) and rehydrated with water and refrozen.
